It's a great place to hang out with a few friends.
Note! This place is not for large groups, ideal for less than 4 ppl. Otherwise you may end up waiting for quite a bit or squeeze yourself in the seats.

The food is quite interesting and the ambience is amazing!

Small little restaurant in dundas west. Great cocktails and food but super long wait for a table of two (45 mins for a fri night). Food was tasty.

Food: I really liked the Moto eggs (eggs, Siracha, mayo, crispy chicken skin, ikura pickled chilies and nori powder). Although it only came with three pieces, they were so good!

Dyno wings: everyone said to get it. For me, the skin was too crispy (but if you like crispy skin then get it lolol). It was some sorta reconstructed wing stuffed w a dumpling. This comes with two gigantic pieces of chicken and is super filling.

Salmon aburi: omg so good. Make sure you make your mini hand roll with wasabi and a bit of soya sauce! The torched salmon and mayo rice was super tasty.

Katsu sandwich: tasted a bit normal and underwhelming. We could have skipped this one

We rly wanted to try their uni bomb but they sold out! :(((((((

The ambiance was definitely amazing. A great place to go and chill with friends.

I got the Salmon Aburi and the salmon+sauce was good but the rice was somewhat hard so kind of disappointing.

The miso ice cream was interesting. The rice balls made it crunchy and the miso made it salty. So crunchy, salty, creamy. After awhile I got tired of eating it. Maybe yelp folks hyped it too much for me.

Price wise well you already know it's expensive for the portion but it's tapas so it expected.

This garage-turned restaurant has certainly outdone itself when it comes to the Hole-In-The-Wall experience.  In both the best and the worst respects.

    THE PROS:
     + Fantastic Menu Selection
     + Fantastic Food
           - Everything we ordered was delicious.  My personal favourites, of the items we did order, were the Deviled Eggs and the Miso Ice Cream.
     + Affordable Prices
     + Cool Decor
     + Friendly Staff

    THE CONS:
     - TINY TINY TINY space!  The size of a tiny coffee shop, and as a result:
     - Insufficient capacity to serve clientele
     - They do NOT take reservations
     - So if you plan on dining here, be prepared to wait 1-2 hours
     - And you CANNOT wait inside the restaurant because it's tiny - they actually tell you to go away and wait for their wait list phone call. Kinda sucks when it's freezing outside.
     - Unfortunately there also aren't any cool places around in that area to wait
     - And they're only open in the evenings
     - No place to hang coats (Toronto winters!)
     - Tiny Space + Enoki Mushrooms Fried in Butter (very popular dish) = Clothes infused with food and oil smells after each visit, so best to go wearing clothes that are easily washable.
     - No hot drinks other than Sake
     - No WiFi
     - Very limited street parking - better to take ride share if you're not within walking distance

Came to check this place out with a friend visiting from out of town. This was my first time trying out the place. We came in around 8:45 and the wait was almost an hour before we were seated. The place is quite small and does not fit large parties very well. Once we were seated, the waitress went over the menu and explained that the place was all sharing based tapas food.

We ordered a number of things, from that list I would recommend getting the salmon Aburi, the Hamachi tartar and the Uni bomb was my favorite dish of the night. For all you Uni lovers out there, this is the dish for you.

Overall, the food was fabulous, the service was great and the staff were friendly ! I'd highly recommend checking this place out!
